이 보석의 작품은 기호와 언어의 상관관계, 그리고 문자의 기호화를 통해 소통의 도구로 삼고 있으며, 자신의 스토리텔링을 전제로 한 조형적 표현 매체를 문자와 기호에서 건져 올리고 있음을 알 수 있다. 이 보석의 작품세계는 한국성 Korean Identity의 내재성에 그 사유의 뿌리를 내리고 천착해 왔음을 지난 그의 전시작품들을 통해 이미 알고 있다. 그 이후, 그는 현대 사회의 문화와 사회적 현상을 풍자하는 페러디 작품을 병행하면서 과거 조선시대에 활동했던 화가들의 작품을 차용하여 현대적 감각으로 접목하는 작업의 경향으로 전개해 나가고 있다. 그는 한글 자음의 상징성을 회화적으로 재구성하여 대형 필름에 빠삐에 꼴레 기법으로 붙이고 반복된 이미지를 병치하여 대규모의 설치작업으로 작품을 펼쳐보이고 있다. 작품의 핵심을 이루는 문자와 기호의 상징성을 통해 예술작품이 정보화 사회, 디지털노마드 사회에 던지는 소통의 중요성과 가능성이란 화두를 던지고 있다. 디지털노마드 시대에 그녀는 다시 네오-노마드가 되어 자신의 본질적 정체성으로 회귀하고 있다. 스토리텔러로, 소통하는 미학으로, 풍자와 해학으로, 무한 개방을 요구하는 글로벌 시대의 이 광야에서 그는 독특한 자기 조형어법으로 소통을 위한 해법을 강하게 제시하고 있는 것이다.

Bo Suk Lee, live in Seoul Korea, is a visual artist, curator, art project planner, coordinator as well as the president of 21^st Century International Creative Artists Association (21C ICAA) and the Chairwoman of board of WCAA (World Culture Artists Association, Inc.) which has over 500 artists in 90 countries.

 

Completion of the top course at Hongik University School of Fine Arts

 

She also studied the western painting style under Professor Igor Razdorgin from I.E. Repin Academy in St. Petersburg Russia. She has been planning, holding, and participating in many internal and external events such as the International Interchange Exhibition, International Art Fair, International Biennale, International Art Symposium, World Youth Art Festival, International Art Work-shop, International Mural Painting, International Art Seminar, Art Forum and so forth since 1996.

 

In addition, she has held 31 private exhibitions; many institutions and individuals in numerous countries including China, Russia, America, Germany, Italy, Austria, Belgium, Japan, Netherlands, Finland, Poland, Lithuania, Croatia, Korea, Macedonia, Latvia, Jordan, Qatar, India, Bangladesh and so forth, hold her work.

 

In the early days, international projects had many difficulties through different languages, cultures, and environments, but as time passed by, as the consensus of art was formed among countries, it became a great pleasure to have a global art family. She loves all the arts and artists in the world and is proud to be an artists while working on art.
